He was recognized three times as a notable practitioner in Ukraine for insolvency matters (ULF: A Handbook for Foreign Clients –). He is Co-Head of the Subcommittee on Insolvency of Financial Institutions at the International Bar Association (IBA) and National Representative of the Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA) from Ukraine.
Anton has extensive experience in the fields of agriculture, infrastructure and maritime transport. He keeps a special focus on handling debts, enforcement, and is well-versed in securities and negotiable monetary instruments.
“Out of 12 years of private legal practice, 5 years account for my career at Arzinger. Therefore, my transfer to the position of Counsel is an absolutely logical and natural step for me. Only 2 years after we designated our insolvency practice as a separate line, Arzinger managed to move up from rank 4 to rank 2 in one of the world’s most prestigious legal ratings – Chambers & Partners Europe.
Therefore, I will keep working jointly with my team and partners to bring the company’s ratings upwards in the Ukrainian and Eastern European markets.
Apart from the traditional insolvency and liquidation products, we are going to increase our participation in crucially important projects, such as the national model for implementation of the Model Law on Cross-Border Insolvency and recognition of foreign bankruptcy decisions. We actively supported such initiatives in advisory bodies at UNCITRAL (United Nations Commission on International Trade) during the recent years.”
Timur Bondaryev, Managing Partner at Arzinger:
“Our insolvency practice is an important and logical part of the financial and dispute resolution practices at Arzinger. We are glad that Anton moves to the position of Counsel and we hope that our client portfolio will be increased from among those who need professional services in these areas.”
