Oksana Karel promoted to Counsel in Arzinger’s International Arbitration practice
Oksana has focused on international investment and commercial arbitration for more than 8 years. She also has in-depth experience in internal commercial, civil and administrative cases and is one of the active members of the company’s internal group working with German-speaking clients (German Desk).
“I have been part of Arzinger’s team for over 8 years.
Being among seasoned specialists, I had a unique opportunity not only to observe the development of the company’s international dispute resolution , international investment and commercial arbitration practices, but also to actively promote their growth and expansion. The position of Counsel is an opportunity for me to continue unlocking my potential and ambitions in a team of like-minded professionals as well as to provide foreign and domestic clients with top-notch legal support. I am thankful to Arzinger partners for trusting me, and I gladly accept this new orbit of my professional growth and development at Arzinger.”
Timur Bondaryev, Managing Partner at Arzinger, commented on Oksana’s career development:
“Oksana has been a notable practitioner in the international arbitration market for many years, not only in Ukraine but also in the whole region. She represents the interests of both sovereigns and investors in international investment arbitrations as well as in large foreign litigations.
We are very glad that Oksana will work with us in her new capacity now.
The international arbitration practice has always been our priority. Therefore, another strong leader is a logical investment and reflection of our plans for its active development.
I would like to particularly note that Oksana is among the best lawyers in our company. She has skilfully used all the opportunities at Arzinger and proved to be ready to move to a new level of development. Not every person has the ability to make a career from a partner’s assistant to the company’s counsel in just 8 years.
In addition, Oksana’s career is the envy of many and a good example that arbitration is not only men’s business, as some people might believe. I am sure that our clients in arbitration will be in very reliable hands. Taking occasion, many thanks to Markian Malskyy, Head International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution practice, under whose guidance Oksana actively developed in the recent years.”
