Nataliia Gorbal leads Arzinger's Private Clients and Family Law practice and focuses on family and marriage relations, including property division and preservation, protection of children's rights and legitimate interests, and inheritance planning. She has more than 23 years of experience in law. Nataliia's area of ​​competence covers all aspects of protecting rights that arise in family and marital relations (judicial protection, alternative dispute resolution procedures, contractual settlement, preventive measures, etc.) as well as legal support for clients on adoption and surrogacy.

    Advising on legal issues and developing strategies to protect rights in the field of marriage and family, including property rights.

    Representing clients in litigations related inter alia to divorce, including for marriages registered outside Ukraine, recognition of marriage as fictitious, division of marital property, determination of a child's place of residence and determination of parents' participation in a child's life, child support (recovery of alimony and additional expenses), deprivation of parental rights, establishing the fact of cohabitation as one family without registration of marriage with subsequent division of property, recovery of expenses related to wedding preparation due to refusal to register marriage.

    Author's developments: marriage contract depending on the purpose thereof, contract on participation in upbringing and supporting children, including with a condition precedent (prior to the birth of children), contract on the legal status of property (including debts) acquired during cohabitation without marriage registration (the so-called "civil marriage")

    According to a political magazine, she was named the "only lobbyist" for marriage contracts in Ukraine.

  • Public activity

    Nataliia Gorbal is the author of the books "Season Must-have, or Guide to Family Life (Difficulties)" and "Season Must-have, or New look at Marriage Contract".

    She founded the first online school "PRO Marriage and Family".

    Nataliia is the only one in the country who has specified the goals of the marriage contract predetermining its content; formulated four forms of divorce (depending on the initiator) as well as four forms of cohabitation without registration of marriage in the context of legal implications, including the division of property and debts as well as the emergence of support rights.

    She authored more than a hundred articles on marital and family relations.

    Nataliia participated in drafting amendments to the Family Code of Ukraine and other legislative acts on the protection of children's rights and strengthening the responsibility for non-payment of alimony.

    She is a regular speaker at specialized forums and seminars, is the author of commentaries for the media as well as an expert on leading Ukrainian TV channels.
