On 5 November 2015 the Ukrainian Parliament supported the new draft Labour Code on first reading.
The Labour Code proposes a lot of changes to the labour legislation but does not change the «employee – employer» alignment of forces dramatically. It has become extremely difficult to use the outdated Code of Labour Laws of 1971. However, there were no adequate initiatives to apply some cardinally new approaches in employment relations. The time has not come yet. Therefore, the Labour Code in general is a tradeoff alternative on Ukraine’s way to European values.Below we provide some infographics to reflect the main changes and novelties.
