Renewable energy

In the recent yearsUkraineadopted a number of regulations aimed at encouraging the production of electricity from renewable energy sources. In addition, by joining the Energy CommunityUkrainehas set a target to achieve 10% renewables in total electricity production by 2020. Recognizing the importance of this aim forUkraine, and given the state’s dependence on imported gas, Arzinger initiated the European-Ukrainian Energy Agency (EUEA) and became its member and consultant. EUEA is a leading organization inUkraineto promote renewable energy and energy efficiency.

Also, Arzinger has been consulting the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association.

Our experts provided comprehensive legal support in the construction of Ukraine’s first solar park, its further operation and purchase, including pre-sale due diligence; deal structuring, drafting transactional documents; representing the client in the negotiations and signing of the sale and purchase agreements; ongoing advising on matters related to alternative energy and corporate law.

Arzinger’s lawyers have extensive experience in conducting due diligence of a target company and advising investors that plan to purchase rights to a company producing electricity from other renewable energy sources, including wind energy; in consulting investors that plan to purchase shares in a company to build and operate a waste-to-energy plant. We also provide legal support in transactions involving licenses for the production and transmission of energy, production of biofuels and biogas, its feeding into the gas network, issues of access to the network, etc.
