In addition, by joining the Energy CommunityUkrainehas set a target to achieve 10% renewables in total electricity production by 2020. Recognizing the importance of this aim forUkraine, and given the state’s dependence on imported gas, Arzinger initiated the European-Ukrainian Energy Agency (EUEA) and became its member and consultant. EUEA is a leading organization inUkraineto promote renewable energy and energy efficiency.
